Call for Applications: Internship at the Candid Foundation (EPICON)
In the scope of our European-Palestinian-Israeli Trilateral Dialogue Initiative (EPICON), we are looking for a full-time intern from mid-September until mid-December 2025, who will assist with organisational and logistical tasks.
About EPICON:
EPICON is a EU-funded project that facilitates encounters between Israeli and Palestinian peace camp supporters and European opinion leaders across the EU. The aim is to explore what a meaningful, joint engagement towards a just political solution should look like, as well as develop actionable steps for European states to support such a process. Various meetings and events are implemented in all 27 EU member states, engaging representatives of the political, media and civil society sphere on a national level. EPICON feeds into the European context by cooperating with leading local and regional think-tanks, consultants and experts with the aim of creating a broader engagement and renewed momentum for supporting a peaceful solution in Israel and Palestine.
We are looking for interns who:
Are highly organised, detail-oriented, and reliable when handling logistical and administrative tasks (e.g. booking travel, coordinating events, formatting documents, and managing shared files)
Possess excellent communication skills and enjoy working closely with a small team in a fast-paced setting
Are proficient in working with Microsoft Office, Excel, Google Drive and Google Workspace, and comfortable with shared digital workflows
Are available for potential travel within Europe to logistically support on-site events
Ideally have a background in organizational management, project coordination, or a related field
Knowledge/Interest in the MENA region, particularly Israel and Palestine, are an asset
Have proficient German and English skills (both written and spoken); Arabic or Hebrew language skills are a plus
Are residential in Berlin over the course of the internship

Call for Applications: Internship at the zenith / Candid Foundation
We accept internship applications for the Candid Foundation and zenith on a rolling basis. Internships include tasks for the Candid Foundation as well as zenith magazine.
The Candid Foundation is an independent non-profit organization based in Berlin, a mix of think tank and dynamic project center focused on the development of media, outreach and cultural projects in the MENA and Mediterranean region
zenith is an online and print magazine specializing in reporting from the Middle East, North Africa, Central Asia and the Sahel region. Interested parties can apply for an internship in the editorial office all year round, ideally for a period of three months. As an intern, you will support the zenith editorial team in writing and editing articles and newsletters. You will also help out at the Candid Foundation, the publisher of zenith magazine.
We are looking for interns who:
have a keen interest in the politics, economy, culture and society of the countries in our MENA reporting area.
are interested in a journalistic career and therefore want to gain corresponding experience in an editorial office.
are proficient in both German and English, ideally one of them at native speaker level.
additional language skills are a plus, especially if they are spoken in the region (Arabic, Persian, Turkish, among others)
want to gain experience in the field of project and financial management.
are interested in expanding their professional network in Germany and the MENA region with a view to the NGO sector.
have experience in content management systems and have an affinity for social media.
