Against the backdrop of the tense political situation between Armenia and Azerbaijan, Dolma Diaries aimed to use humour and entertainment to raise awareness among broad audiences in the South Caucasus regarding dialogue and peaceful coexistence.

Over the past few years, with the support of the German Federal Foreign Office and in collaboration with the Georgian GoGroup—as well as numerous partners from civil society, the media, and the cultural sectors in the South Caucasus and Germany—the Candid Foundation has produced the miniseries Dolma Diaries and Caucasian Blues, the first feature film ever jointly produced by Armenians, Azerbaijanis, and Georgians. The miniseries reached a particularly young audience in the region, garnered over 100,000 views, and sparked lively—and predominantly positive—discussion. To make the results of these media projects accessible to as many people as possible beyond YouTube—and to facilitate discussions with their creators, we embarked on a tour across the South Caucasus and Europe in late 2025 and early 2026.
